THREE FORTIE`S - 27th September 2008
Watcha mark thought i`de let you know how things have been going m8 i got down to the lake like a kid with his new toy T1 and plotted up in snaggs and baited up the gaps on the far margin with crushed, whole, and half bait then settled down for the night.
The next morning whilst drinking a brew i noticed two cootes behaving oddly then one came up out of the water at an angle and shot off into the bushs straight away i knew what was going on and sat back feeling confident that afternoon at 3.15pm i had two single bleeps as i was locked up and i struck into the fish and after good battle of ten or so minutes it was in the net and a new pb british common of 42lb.6
That evening i topped the swim up with an other kilo or so per spot and on cloud T1 i settled down the next morning around 11.30am same again two bleeps and i struck into an other good fish which put up a spirited fight and in the net first time which pulled the scales round to 40lb.12 and very nice looking mirror indeed so as you can imagine i drove home with a dirty great big grin on my face.
A week and a half later i was back and was lucky enough to get the same swim i stuck with the same approach but blanked for 48 hours so i decided two go for it and top up the swim agian any way but with more really crushed up bait to stop the cootes getting to much and get carp rooting about more on the gravel so with the trap layed settled down for the night at around 2am i had a single bleep i swung round striaght into the boots bleep, bleep strike fish on an other good fighting fish and a heart stopping moment when it went through my other line i managed to get in net first time.
I put head lamp on to sort out the two line and looked in the net and could`nt believe it a common that looked like a bull dozer with scales like sovereign rings well m8 as you could imagine i was shot away after that three forties on the bounce it dos`nt get much better than that m8 t1 is the nuts cheers mark.

Another good time at Bundy's Pit - 21st September 2008
The fish are liking the T1 at Bundy's. Just returned from another fruitful session. Lady Luck gave me 4 takes which were a double and 3 twenties to 29.14.

My usual 15mm pop-ups over a good bed of spod and boilies doing the business.

I think I'll be ordering some more soon, Mark... standy by :-)
session after work - 15th September 2008
been baiting for the last week my old man went into the swim and had a 22lb common which was unusual as the fish dont usually come out during the day. i finished work early and after gettin permission from the good lady went off down the lake not much happened until it started to get dark then the rod ripped off and landed a 27lb mirror known as big lips this is the first fish ive had on the new bait and the fish seem to love it already cant wait to get back out there and catch the rest.
